The distaff side of Widmark’s anachronistic Western costume is this sublime blouse worn by Donna Reed in John Sturges’ Backlash (1956). She has four changes of costume in the film, two full-length dresses, one a scorching lemon yellow and the other an equally eye burning tangerine orange. The fourth change has her back in dude ranch duds. Accessories include riding crop and black leather gloves.
